Corey's playing and singing wasn't really appreciated except one or two people (who knew talent when they seen it) from the sounds of it.... and they probably had no idea he wrote - At the Creek - the second song. They were all too busy being half drunk, just listen to them in the background, talking and stuffing their faces. That is the problem with playing in those kinds of places. He's much better off doing the livestreams were his music is loved and he is appreciated. I know he can't hear us clapping - but there are other benefits it offers. I was probably just started to teach myself to play back then. I wish I had of been there. I would have been some early inspiration for me.

One of the all time great soul songs every written and performed by anyone. At any time. It encapsulates an unselfish love. In an open, honest, and sincere spirit of goodwill. He hopes his woman might someday realize and understand that he was trying his best to be a good man to her. And that it was his way of loving her. Deeply.

What an honour for me to play with “His Whiteness”. Every once in a while I would turn around and say to myself, “I’m playing with Whitey Glan from The Mandala!!”. It always blew my mind. I loved him even more as a friend than as a musician, and that is really saying something.
